About Us
Who Are We
Kaweyan International is a community interest company limited by guarantee registered with the Company House under company number 14675531 offering a range of services and solutions to refugees, migrants, asylum seekers and displaced people in the UK. Kaweyan seeks to enable migrants and displaced people to integrate successfully and with dignity in the society and economy of the host nations and to enable them to realize their full self-worth and achieve economic independence in a foreign society and culture.
Our Mission
Our mission is to enable migrants, refugees and displaced people in the UK to look ahead and move beyond government support services and programs through well-designed and effective economic empowerment and entrepreneurship interventions, enabling them to participate effectively in the economy of the host country, generate income and employment for themselves and others, gain dignity and give back to the society that has supported them in their time of need.
What We Do
- Established in 2023 and registered in London, United Kingdom, Kaweyan International offers a host of tailored and need-based interventions to support migrants. Our services have been designed after an in-depth analysis of migrants in the UK, their issues and challenges, and their dreams and aspirations, while keeping in mind the complex socio-cultural dynamics that play an important role in their families. We provide training, consultancy, business development support and advisory services to migrants. We also provide support to migrants seeking employment. We are facilitating migrants’ access to literacy, numeracy courses and to psycho-social support.
Why Choose Us
Our vision is that refugees and migrants across the world should be able to integrate successfully in the civic, social and economic spheres of their host countries and make measurable progress towards achieving their economic sustainability and broader wellbeing.
We are a team of women working to support women. Our team has several decades of cumulative experience in gender equality and women’s economic empowerment across the globe. Through our national and international partnerships, we can support migrants to develop products and we can market them on their behalf. Our team has lived experience of the ground realities in conflict zone and has direct experience in entrepreneurship promotion and business development. We have inside knowledge and full understanding of cultural sensitivities of migrants as well as of host countries. We can offer training in local languages (Dari, Pashto and Arabic), including for the barely literate, which is pragmatic for participants who are not fluent in English and/or cannot read and write in their own language.
We understand challenges related to climate change and the need to sensitize and encourage people we support to develop activities and businesses that seek to mitigate such risks.
